MyMarketing ++

MyMarketing is a proprietary corporate web portal for clients to access free, relevant and timely social media elements for the enhancement of their business' digital presence. Its existence wouldn't have been possible without the success of a monthly newsletter that populated contact information and photos, saved the documents as single PDF files with unique filenames and then were digitally distributed via email.


I worked closely with a programmer to develop a simple javascript that exported the data merge InDesign template as individualized newsletters and together we created an intranet web portal for ease of distribution to the 250 plus subscribers each month.

Seasonal Posts

  • Newsletter automation was successful; this produced idea momentum for additional uses

  • Myself and management recognized potential uses from this system to improve efficiency, increase service offerings and add new products such as automated listing posts and industry/event poster ads

Teamwork and Ingenuity

We launched a section within the MyMarketing portal that pulls MLS data into a suite of 4-6 branded social media posts and a printable feature sheet PDF.


  • Incorporating feedback by stakeholders, the programmer and I modified and diversified the MyMarketing products including:

    • adding a second suite of posts

    • co-branding on the posts

    • Adwerx ad templates

    • fully customized suites

    • data pulled for more than residential: land and commercial

    • and alternative media sizes (e.g. IG stories)

  • A large percentage of clients continue to this day to use the posts daily/weekly for their social media presence

Seasonal Mailers

  • Co-coordinated researching Canada Post processes for first seasonal mailer.


  • I then trained team on processes and Canada Post requirements, designed cards, sourced resources and printing options, spearheaded and administered data process, and directed team for card assembly and delivery.

  • Compiled a project budget critique for future mailer projects viability.

  • Reviewed and negotiated material and equipment purchases to improved co-workers tasks and work flow processes.  


  • Scheduled campaign launchs and announcements, and coordinated production and delivery with the cooperation of the marketing team.

  • ​​Ensured required resources were high quality, readily available and easily accessible.

What Else Can Be Streamlined with These Systems?

  • Modernized and optimized the process of generating gala event email invites and charity congratulatory emails (with personalized 'post-able' images) from the programs aforementioned and modified with data merge processes within InDesign reducing the production time by 80%. 

  • Once the updated systems were in place, the marketing team used them for several years, in various applications.
